we received an inquiry from Philippines customer regarding the procurement of a 10 ton single girder overhead crane. Although customer provided detailed information initially, upon further examination of the plant layout and pictures provided, it became evident that the infrastructure was not conducive to overhead crane installation. There were no supports in place for bridge cranes.
After extensive discussions with Philippines customer via email and phone, our team of engineers proposed an alternative solution: a 10 ton gantry crane. Not only was this gantry crane option more practical for the existing infrastructure, but it also proved to be more economical.
Taking into account the specifics of the site, including the depth of the concrete floor, our engineers recommended a modification to the 10 ton gantry crane design. They proposed mounting square steel bars with subplates as rails to ensure safety and stability. Additionally, the gantry crane traveling system was modified to incorporate wheel blocks, distributing the wheel load more evenly.
To facilitate transportation, the 10 ton gantry crane was designed to be dismountable, allowing it to fit into a single 40-foot container for shipment. This modification in the connection between the main girder and bearing beams ensured efficient delivery to the Philippines.
Upon delivery of the 10 ton gantry crane, we provided Philippines customer with comprehensive drawings and instructions for pre-assembly work. Furthermore, our team of engineers traveled to the Philippines to oversee the assembly and commissioning process.
After seven days of diligent work, the assembly and commissioning of the 10 ton gantry crane were successfully completed in the Philippines. This project stands as a testament to our commitment to providing tailored solutions that meet our clients' specific needs while ensuring efficiency and safety throughout the process.
